Dolly day out and Ai Exhibition

27th October 2007 = Super lovely resin-filled day. :3

Had a date with Sarah and Simone today with plans to grab some lunch and also to go to the Ai Exhibition at the Collingwood Gallery as Shin of Shinydoll fame was there as part of a 50 strong group of male Japanese artists exhibiting their work.

Also met up with [info]sefieslj in town to pick up my part of the order we placed together from Pupa Paradise (thanks, Sefie! That katana is ACE - i'm still in awe it's an actual blade! Lol!). So yay! New dolly related goodies.

Anyways. Lunch at Vegie Bar was delish, and the exhibition was awesome. I actually got a bit teary (stupid hormones) when Simone was showing Shin-san her Thaasa Akali - it's all a bit Rozen Maiden, you know? When the doll meets her creator. (Gee, snap out of it already, you say?) Shin-san was so enthusiastic about seeing how his doll creations were loved; it was beautiful. Also met [info]gelfling256 and her mother-in-law at the exhibition too (hi Judy and Dianne!). She had her Kiki with her, and boy, was she the most adorable thing ever!! I love her in her Volks outfit, and the faceup suits her so well!

Anyway, after all that, Sarah, Sim and I went back into town to pick up some supplies from Vic Hobby Centre (there's still MSC available!), and for a cuppa. Ended up at Starbucks cos it was closest and air-conditioned (so friggin hot today!). Took copious amounts of bad photos, of which all are under the cut.
